• Matt Westcott created an example project to demonstrate how to incorporate Django forms onto a Wagtail site without using the 'wagtailforms' module
• Springload have released wagtailblocks, a package containing some common StreamField blocks, and wagtail-django-recaptcha, a simple recaptcha field for Wagtail form pages.
  

Notable changes

• Mikalai Radchuk added multi-tab support to the snippets UI (#2115)
• Matt Westcott implemented "Permission Policy Modules" (#2102)
• Tim Heap made it possible to customise the page editor form. Useful for custom validation logic (#1867)
• Matt Westcott removed the custom SQL from wagtailimages migration 0004 (#2155)
• Karl Hobley refactored the Elasticsearch backend in preparation for Elasticsearch 2.0 support (#2005)

New pull requests

The following changes have been submitted to Wagtail and are awaiting review.

• Teach StreamBlocks about NON_FIELD_ERRORS
• Minor adjustment to settings docs
• Fix for ambigious filenames
• Make user confirm before navigating away from changed page editor
• Handling for server errors when uploading images and documents via a modal dialog

RFCs

RFCs are proposals for major new features that are open for discussion in the community. They can either be created as a GitHub issue or as a more formal document in the RFCs repository.
