Wagtail Space, our annualish in-person gathering of the Wagtail community, will be happening in June 2024. Right now, the organizers are gathering talk proposals for both events as well as online virtual talks that will be shared with the community throughout the month. We're excited to see what our talented community members come up with!

Whether you're a developer or a content creator, a freelancer or an agency employee, a student or a pro with decades of experience, we want to hear from YOU. Anyone and everyone who has something cool and useful to share about their experiences with Wagtail is welcome to submit.

Not sure what you want to talk about? Don't worry. Here are some ideas to inspire you:

Doing good with Wagtail: Have you helped a nonprofit or government or another group use Wagtail to improve a public service or increase their effectiveness? We want to hear your story.

Accessibility tips, tricks, and practices: Since Wagtail has such a strong focus on accessibility, we're eager to hear from people who are using Wagtail for accessibility-focused projects. If you learned ways to incorporate better accessibility into your code or content, definitely come tell us about it.

Wagtail as a part of a greener future: Reducing carbon emissions is one of the most pressing and paramount challenges of our time. We want to hear ideas from the community about how we can use Wagtail to encourage more sustainable choices in web development.

What editors really want: Sometimes Wagtail developers struggle to understand what editors need for a great content creation experience. If you're an editor or a passionate advocate for end users, then come take the microphone so all the developers can hear what makes a difference between a great experience and a poor experience for Wagtail editors.

AI + Wagtail: Whether we love it or merely tolerate it, AI is here to stay. We want perspectives on how AI can used be ethically in content creation as well as ideas on how these tools can be appropriately tested when they are integrated into a Wagtail website.

Headless hacks: If you've experimented with headless Wagtail, we want to know how you did it and what you've learned from the experience. Has headless lived up to its promise of frontend freedom? You tell us.

Parlez-vous Wagtail?: Multi-lingual publishing is a massive challenge. Share any lessons you've learned from supporting global content and translation.

Better ways to build with Wagtail: Developers who are new to Wagtail quickly realize there are a LOT of different ways to build solid websites with Wagtail. Help others build good habits by sharing your best practices, your favorite packages, preferred frontend tech, and time-saving strategies.

Solving business problems with Wagtail: If you've used Wagtail to increase your reach, enhance your business efficiency, or improve your bottom line, come share your achievements with us.

Wagtail in education: Have you used Wagtail to help educators or students? We're keen to know how Wagtail is being used to support modern learning experiences.

Django for Wagtailers: Even though Wagtail is built on top of Django, it's not always clear when it's better to use Wagtail or Django for building a feature. If you're a Django wizard who can help make these decisions easier, then we have a bunch of developers and project managers who'd love to hear from you.

Modern multi-tenancy: Multi-tenant Wagtail produces many unique challenges. If you support a lot of Wagtail sites through multi-tenancy, we want your thoughts on the best environments, resources, and strategies.

Security, security, security: The digital world can be a dangerous place. How are you protecting your content and your users from emerging threats?

Choose your own adventure: Got a unique out of the box idea related to Wagtail? Send it to us. We'll consider any unique ideas that might interest folks in the Wagtail community.
